Berkshire Film Office Supported By Wokingham Council
Wokingham Borough Council hopes to increase the Borough’s profile among worldwide film crews following the launch of the Berkshire Film Office.
The Berkshire Film Office, supported by the six Berkshire unitary authorities, is aiming to showcase Berkshire as a great location for crews from all over the world – with easy access to London. IT was officially launched on Wednesday March 6 at Arbour Park in Slough, attended by representatives from the six authorities and other dignitaries.
Locations
Wokingham Borough has a huge mix of locations available from state-of-the-art sports facilities and sprawling modern suburban residential estates to stunning countryside and period properties.
Cllr Stuart Munro, executive member for business, economic development and strategic planning said: “There is so much on offer in the Wokingham Borough. Just a short trip from London, and with an exciting mix of historical and modern, it’s the perfect location for filmmakers.
“We hope the project will help to generate income, provide film industry related employment and skills opportunities, promote and increase awareness of the borough and help to develop our cultural landscape.”
