Boutique Pilates Studio Opens In Wokingham
Wokingham Borough Council is delighted to welcome Core Connexion, a boutique Pilates studio, to the newly developed Elms Walk in Elms Field. Core Connexion signed a new lease with the council last December and officially opened its doors on 13 March 2023.
Core Connexion offers a range of group and private Pilates sessions focusing on strength, posture, balance, breathing and relaxation, which are available to people of all abilities and experience levels.
Studio director at Core Connexion, Roxy Davis said:
“Core Connexion is a space I created for us. Trading bustle for bliss, the studio is an intimate, restorative, and calming space powered by a commitment to creating physical and emotional good.
“Starting my Pilates journey as a client, I was drawn immediately to the way the movement made me feel calm, centred and at one with my mind, body and self. After becoming a mother and juggling a career in corporate, taking that one hour out of my day felt like my special escape. My Pilates practise was what held me, and I developed a strong desire and passion to share with Wokingham’s great community what Pilates had given to me.”
Leader of the council and executive member for business and economic development Cllr Clive Jones said: “We understand the importance of the health and wellbeing of our residents and the local community which is why we are thrilled to welcome Pilates studio, Core Connexion, to our regenerated Elms Walk development. Core Connexion is a shining example of our vision to attract businesses to Wokingham town centre, helping to improve our local offer whilst making Wokingham Borough a great place to live, learn, work and grow.”
First 50 Monthly Members To Receive Perks
To celebrate the studio opening, the first 50 monthly members will receive extra perks with the Founding Membership package which includes complimentary grip socks and a Huskee 8oz coffee cup, a free guest pass per month and exclusive membership discounts.
Residents who would like to bring Pilates into their weekly workout schedule can sign up to the studio’s Introductory Offer of three sessions for £50.
Core Connexion’s opening hours are:
· Monday to Friday, 7am to 8.30pm
· Saturday, 8am to 2pm
· Sunday, 9am to 2pm

Core Connexion runs expert instructor led Reformer Pilates classes seven days a week, along with speciality workshops featuring regularly on the timetable.
Offering three main class types, Dynamic Reformer, Stretch Reformer and Dynamic Mat, alongside private sessions, Core Connexion has an option to support any health and fitness goal; whether physical or mental.
