California Country Park Paddling Pool Opens
Make a splash this weekend, as California Country Park opens its ever-popular paddling pool ready for the summer months ahead. From Saturday 6 July, visitors are invited to cool-off as the weather hots up at the scenic family-friendly park.

During those long, dark and wet winter months the Wokingham Borough Council parks team have also been hard at work improving the car park and the outdoor space at Jackson’s Café, both of which will be open in time for the summer holidays. Not only that, but they have also improved vehicle access with a new road and built some pergolas to provide an all-weather sun shade or rain cover.
We’re delighted to open the paddling pool to Wokingham Borough’s residents in time to enjoy the sunny weather. California Country Park welcomes thousands of visitors every year and I am sure they will welcome the improvements to the on-site parking and outdoor café facilities.”
Cllr Parry Batth, executive member for environment and leisure, said: “We’re delighted to open the paddling pool to Wokingham Borough’s residents in time to enjoy the sunny weather. In addition to the new pergolas, improved road and parking, what more could local residents want for a great family day out? The new and improved California Country Park is going to be a great place for all the family this summer.”
