The countdown to Christmas is on and what better way to get into the festive spirit than by heading down to Dinton Pastures Christmas Fayre 2019. The weekend is set to be bigger and better than before, following its incredible launch last winter.

Guests are invited to join the Christmas cheer on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 December. The fair will be open between 10am – 4pm each day.  Visitors are in for a treat, with a selection of stalls selling everything from hand-made decorations to jewellery.

There are also plenty of activities to keep the children entertained. Hop on the glittering vintage horse carousel, or take your pick from a range of funfair attractions provided by Masons Fun Fair. Your little angels are also invited to Meet Santa or his Elf at their Grotto and can even enjoy a selection of fun activities with Santa’s helpers in their workshop. Simply head to Muddy Ducks Nursery located next to the carousel.

The Christmas celebrations continue with the chance to get up close with a reindeers. Visiting from nearby Riverways Organic Chicken Farm, guests will learn all about the reindeer’s background and even have the opportunity to feed them a healthy treat.

Children are also welcome to join a Christmas Climbing session, where they can scale the impressive 6.5 metres high our climbing tower. In addition, the team will also be offering Winter Fire Lighting sessions, where attendees will be introduce to the fire triangle and learn how to use a flint fire striker. Booking is essential for all three activities.

Guests are invited to warm up with a selection of festive food and drink, available from bespoke vendors. Take your pick from a hot cup of cocoa or treat yourself to a toffee apple. For something a little more interactive, toast your own marshmallow with the bushcraft instructors. If you’re after a more substantial meal, the much-loved Dragonfly Café will be open for breakfast, sandwiches, jacket potatoes and winter specials.

On Saturday

In addition, on Saturday 7 December there will be mini-festive movie screenings of Shrek the Halls, which is 26 minutes in length. The film will air every 40 minutes throughout the day.

“Due to our Christmas Fair’s popularity last year, we’re delighted to announce its return this winter. It’s set to be bigger and better than before, with dozens of stalls selling everything from sweets to smellies, which are ideal for stocking fillers,” said Tanya Lee, Dinton Activity Centre manager.

“What’s more, there’s a whole host of activities to keep your little ones entertained such as Santa’s Grotto or close encounters with Reindeers. We look forward to welcoming guest for the festive fun.”
