Fun Palace Coming To Wokingham Library
Fun Palace
Wokingham Library is joining more than 300 Fun Palaces across the UK to offer free and fun activities, celebrating culture in our community. Everyone’s an artist, everyone’s a scientist. Activities are free (excluding materials in the Gemstone Cabochon Necklace Workshop).
Fun Palaces is an ongoing campaign for community at the heart of culture, with an annual weekend of events each October, led by local people for local people.
Whats On
Wokingham Library is due to be hosting the following activities:
Dad and Baby Rhymetime – 10 to 10.30am
Mighty Lemons – Fun performance from this Ukulele Band, with familiar songs and a, ‘row, row, row your boat’ singalong. Try out some of the instruments after the session. 11am to noon
Code Club – For children aged 9 to 12. Beginners 10.15 to 11am, advanced 11.10 to 11.50am

Poppy making craft activity – Make a poppy to commemorate the end of World War. 10am to noon
Biscuit decorating – Decorate your own biscuits to take home. 10am to noon
Gemstone Cabochon Necklace Workshop – Learn how to use gemstone cabochons and twisted wire to create beautiful pendants with tutor Rachel Freegard. £3.50 charge for materials. 10am to 1pm
