Luxury bathroom design company Ripples and outdoor clothing and equipment specialists Mountain Warehouse are the latest businesses coming to the new Peach Place destination that is taking shape in Wokingham Town Centre.

They will be joining other new businesses Cook, the Leafy Elephant, Sit & Sip and Blue Orchid, all of whom are set to open their doors in the coming month as the new square opens up for the end of April.

Bernie Pich, assistant director for commercial property, said: “I’m very pleased Ripples will be opening a brand new bespoke bathroom showroom at Peach Place, joining Beyond the Download and Cook on the Rose Street side of the development.

“Ripples is a fantastic company with showrooms already located in places such as Beaconsfield, Winchester and Bath. We think they will be a great fit for Wokingham and reflect the quality of business the town deserves to attract.

Mountain Warehouse

“Mountain Warehouse will also be a great new store for the town and we expect them to be very popular with active local residents.” continued Bernie Pich. “They have a real focus on excellently designed and great quality outdoor gear and put an emphasis on making sure their staff are well trained and knowledgeable so they can give straightforward advice as well as great customer service.”

Preview

Last Saturday (April 13) saw hundreds of people take a sneak preview of the new square as it was opened up for the day. Many people took the opportunity to see how fantastic it was looking for themselves.

Bernie Pich Continued: “Feedback was very positive from people who came to have a look at the square.  And with Eden Lounge and Cook set to open any day now, Sit & Sip and Blue Orchid shortly after and Leafy Elephant in mid-May there is real positivity about how the town centre is coming together and how great Peach Place will be when it opens later this month.

“It’s been wonderful to see people really get behind the fantastic new businesses. There were crowds gathered waiting to get in to Beyond the Download when they opened up for Record Store Day on Saturday morning.  I’m told the Leafy Elephant sold out their opening night tickets within a few minutes of advertising it online.

Completion

“With completion of the new square imminent we can now move forward with finalising hand over dates for many of the tenants who have been lined up to take on units at Peach Place so keep an eye out for more announcements soon.”
