New Independent Shops Opening Soon In Wokingham
Research with visitors continues to show that one of the things people love about Wokingham town centre is the great range of independent shops and businesses they can find.
And it’s set to get even better with the recent opening of the Fiona Parry Boutique, offering a great range of ladies fashion, at Elms Walk and the announcement that local zero waste business Maya’s Refillables will be opening soon at Peach Place.
These fantastic new retailers join over 35 businesses who have already located to Wokingham Borough council’s regeneration developments since December 2019, the majority of which are independent businesses or boutiques.
Fiona Parry
The new Fiona Parry Boutique store, located near Starbucks on Elms Walk, offers an amazing collection of stylish women’s clothing and accessories. Whether you are looking for a complete outfit for a night on the town, or the relaxed look with some new jeans and a new top there’s a great mix to check out and see.
Each item in the store is carefully chosen by Fiona herself, with the aim to creating a collection of pieces which can be effortlessly brought together and worn over again in many different ways, and offer beautiful fabric and design to fit the modern woman.
Mayas Refillables
Maya’s Refillables, are already a favourite with local residents, having traded at Wokingham and Woodley Markets since 2019. Maya is passionate about sustainability and the new zero waste store will help local residents and businesses shop greener, reducing their single-plastic waste by buying their products in containers which can be refilled again and again.
The new Peach Place store will give Maya the opportunity to grow her range of products which already includes everything from dried goods to detergents and toiletries, alongside product alternatives such as bamboo toothbrushes and reusable makeup removal pads, even more. The store is also set to become a sustainable community hub with Maya hoping to use it as a place to propel to gather and to promote green initiatives.

“And it’s continuing to show how well the approach is working with these two latest announcements and strong interest in the few remaining units, many of which are already in the hands of solicitors with paperwork being finalised ready to hand over keys.”
