Record Numbers For Dinton Pastures Country Park’s Annual Family Fun Weekend
Last weekend Dinton Pastures Country Park welcomed a record number of visitors to its annual family fun weekend. Across the two day event, 2,577 people took part in activities, including paddle boarding and archery to name but a few.
The Dinton Activity Centre welcome’s thousandsof visitors every year with a wide variety of activities on offer, such ascanoeing and sailing. Attendees were able to try out many of the activities onoffer for just £3 per person, such as kayaking and climbing, enabling them tosee if they’d like to take these sports further in the future.
Cllr Parry Batth, executive member forenvironment and leisure, commented: “The sun was shining for our annual familyfun weekend at Dinton Pastures Country Park, where we were delighted to welcomesuch a large turnout. There was a lovely atmosphere amongst the bustlingshoreline and an equally as exciting mood on the heath as visitors enjoyed someland activities, refreshments and interacting with exhibitor’s displays.”
“This year a record number of gueststook part in the activities on offer. Our hope is that people thoroughlyenjoyed the different sports available and return to the Dinton Activity Centrein the near future to further expand their skills.”
