Ruscombe Neighbourhood Plan – Views Wanted On The Draft Plan

Decrease Font Size Increase Font Size Text Size Print This Page

Wokingham Borough Council is consulting on a draft neighbourhood plan for Ruscombe parish and
wants your views.

Ruscombe Parish Council has prepared a neighbourhood plan with the help of the local community. The
plan aims to help guide development in the area reflecting the aspirations of the community and taking
account of what makes the area special.

The plan contains a vision, objectives and a range of policies covering housing, the environment, community facilities, business development and transport. The plan, if adopted, will be used to help the council make decisions on all planning applications within the parish.

Cllr Wayne Smith, executive member for planning and enforcement, said: “The Ruscombe Neighbourhood Plan is a key part of our wider plan for how development will be managed in the borough. The parish council and volunteers have worked hard over several years to produce a plan that will help development in the parish to be managed in an appropriate way.

“Your comments on the draft neighbourhood plan are important to everyone involved in preparing the plan. All comments will be shared with the independent examiner, who will be appointed to consider the plan and supporting documents, and come to a view on whether the draft plan should proceed to a referendum. The examiner can use your input to recommend changes to the plan so please get involved.”
