Tape Lane Social Housing Opens

Wokingham Borough Council opened the doors to 11 newly constructed social rent homes, in Tape Lane, Hurst. It is the first traditional council housing of its kind in over 20 years and a milestone achievement for the Council.

The development has two and three bedroom houses as well as one four bedroom bungalow. It has been built as part of Wokingham Borough Council’s ongoing commitment to provide genuinely affordable places for people to live.

Tape Lane Social Housing – Partnership

Tape Lane has been constructed in partnership with the council-owned development company Wokingham Housing (WHL) and contractor, Life Build Solutions, on behalf of the council’s housing department.

“It was a privilege to view our newly constructed council houses and to meet local residents. These new social rent homes are a welcome addition in the borough and will be let to those on the housing register,” said Mayor of Wokingham Borough, Cllr Bill Soane.
