Time Running Out To Register To Vote
Wokingham Borough Council is encouraging local residents not yet registered to vote, who wish to do so in the General Election on Thursday June 8, to go online and register now.
There are only five-weeks until voters go to the polls to elect a member of parliament for the Wokingham constituency, so anyone who is currently not registered to vote should visit: www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.
Wokingham Borough Council’s returning officer Andrew Moulton, said: “Due to the short timescale of this snap general election I would urge anyone not yet registered to vote to do so as soon as possible. It only takes a few minutes to complete the form online and allows residents to be able to have their say on issues that affect their lives.”
The deadline to registered to vote is Monday May 22.
