Wokingham A Level Results 2019
Sixth formers at Wokingham borough schools have much to celebrate as today’s A-level results were published (August 15).
The proportion of students across the Wokingham Borough receiving the top grades (A* to A) has increased to 22% in 2019 overall. This is in contrast to a national decline in top grades. The percentage of pupils achieving A*- C grades remained the same as 2018’s results at 74.4%.
The Wokingham average for A* – E grades is also above the national average, with many schools scoring almost 100%. The overall average for schools across the Wokingham borough is 97.7%.
Cllr UllaKarin Clark, executive member for children’s services, said: “I’m sure teachers and parents will join me in congratulating all the students on these fantastic results. It takes hard work, perseverance, and commitment to achieve grades such as these.
“I’d also like to thank the hardworking teachers, who have worked long hours to ensure students have been supported throughout their studies. I especially wish to congratulate students who achieved the results they were aiming for. I wish them every success in their next steps, be that higher education, apprenticeships, or entering the work place.”
