Sport loving youngsters are set for a thrilling summer, as Wokingham Active Kids holiday camp is back in full swing for another year. From cricket and badminton, through to swimming and tennis, it’s guaranteed that the school holidays will be far from ordinary for those who have signed up for places already – with more still available.

Loddon Valley & St Crispins

This year, the activities will run at Loddon Valley and St Crispin’s leisure centres from 24 July to 30 August.  Soft play sessions (Loddon only) and fun Fridays with inflatables will amuse the young ones, whilst hockey, trampolining and basketball games promise a smashing time. The extensive list of activities on offer continues with dance classes, judo, tag rugby and dodgeball only some of the choices on offer. The children will come home having loved every minute of their day.

All day (8am-6pm) sessions cost £24 per day or £106 for a week. Shorter (9.30am-3.30pm) sessions are available with a daily price of £16 or a weekly cost of £67. Early bird discounts are available if booked before 23 July.

ReadingFC

On top of the camps at the leisure centres, Reading Football Club will run two camps during the summer at Cantley Park. These run 5-9 and 19-23 August, with the Fridays of both being held at the Madejski stadium, the Championship club’s home ground. These cost £79 for the week.

“This is an excellent summer venture for the youngest residents of Wokingham. They’ve studied hard this academic year and truly deserve all the fun ahead. The skills they’ll develop and friendships they’ll make, are going to be invaluable. I highly recommend for all parents to sign their children to this fantastic initiative,” said UllaKarin Clark, executive member for children’s services at Wokingham Borough Council.
