Wokingham Borough leisure centres enjoy upgrades
Wokingham Borough leisure centres
Life Leisure centre customers can now enjoy new and improved changing room facilities at three Wokingham Borough leisure centres, as part of a £250,000 investment to modernise their showers and toilets.
St Crispin’s Leisure Centre
St Crispin’s Leisure Centre now has new changing rooms, showers, and toilets. The changing rooms have been refreshed at Carnival Pool and Fitness Centre, while Loddon Valley Leisure Centre has new shower units and tiling, upgraded toilet facilities, and new energy efficient lighting.
These refurbishments are part of Wokingham Borough Council’s leisure strategy to create modern and dynamic leisure facilities for leisure centre members and the public using them on an ad hoc basis. The borough’s leisure centres are run on behalf of Wokingham Borough Council by leisure management firm 1-Life Leisure.
Loddon Valley Leisure Centre
Inspecting the new areas at Loddon Valley Leisure Centre was Cllr Angus Ross executive member for environment at Wokingham Borough Council, Cllr Parry Batth deputy executive member for environment, and 1-Life contract manager Tony Penge.
“We hope leisure centre members and the public enjoy using these new and improved areas,” said Cllr Angus Ross. “It’s all about giving our residents the quality facilities they want and need.”
More improvements at all three sites are planned for later this year.
