Wokingham Christmas Free Parking Back For 2019
Free Saturday daytime parking in the run up to Christmas is back again this year in Wokingham Borough Council car parks on 7, 14 and 21 December.
As Sunday and evening parking is already free in the council-run car parks listed below, it means shoppers can park without charge for the whole weekend, on these dates.
The borough council has been offering this parking fee holiday on the three Saturdays before Christmas for the past few years to encourage people to shop locally. Understandably, it is very popular with both the public and traders alike.

“We’re pleased to be able to offer free Saturday parking again this year in the run up to Christmas,” said Cllr Pauline Jorgensen, executive member for highways and transport.
“We plan for it every year because it is the right thing to do for our residents while also encouraging them to shop locally in all of our Borough’s towns and villages. We have some fantastic shops and want to do all we can to help our local economy.”
