Wokingham Mayor Gala Ball

The 2019 Wokingham Borough Mayor’s Gala Ball is due to be held on Saturday March 9 at Sindlesham Court, with all proceeds going to the local charity Me2 Club.

The Gala

The gala is an annual fundraiser and celebration supporting the voluntary sector, and the Borough Mayor traditionally chooses a charity to benefit. The Me2 Club works with children and young people with a wide range of additional needs and disabilities across the Wokingham Borough, helping them access mainstream activity clubs.

The event at Mole Road in Sindlesham starts at 7pm with a drinks reception followed by a three-course silver service meal. An auction, raffle draw, music, dancing and live entertainment are also planned.

“This is a wonderful event in aid of the Me2 Club, which works tirelessly to improve the lives of children and young people with additional needs and disabilities,” said Wokingham Borough Mayor, Cllr John Kaiser. “I’d love for our residents to join me in this celebration.”

Me2 Club

“Me2 Club was delighted to hear that during his mayoral year Cllr John Kaiser has chosen to support our work,” said Me2 Club manager, Tess Eagles. “Not only will his support be raising much needed funds, it’s also helping to raise our profile which is so important for a small charity. We’re currently celebrating our fifteenth birthday and for this to include a Gala Ball is very exciting for our families and supporters.”

Tickets

Tickets cost £60 each and are available from the Me2 Club by emailing: liz@me2club.org.uk. If you have a query, would like further information, or are a local business keen to support this event, please email: john.kaiser@wokingham.gov.uk.
